My Story

Hi, I'm Keene Brigado (Koala)

Ever since I was in elementary school, I've been passionate about programming and robotics. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted my robotics dream in grade 7, I turned obstacles into opportunities. I dove into online programming courses, mastered Java, and began creating Discord bots. By 13, I ventured into freelancing, and over two years, I earned more than $2,000 on increasingly complex projects.

Competitions Background

In 2023, I returned to school and trained for a local robotics competition, but due to health issues, I had to drop out. Undeterred, I joined the 13th FIRST LEGO League Philippines in 2024, where my team won first place in the robot game category. This achievement earned us a spot at the FLL Open European Championships in Norway, where I doubled my efforts and led the team to a seventh-place finish out of fifty teams in the robot game category. This journey taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, dedication, and balancing ambition with humility, shaping me into who I am today.

FIRST LEGO League Philippines 2024- Role: Team Member & Website Creator
- Achievement: 1st Place in Robot Game Category
- Project: Developed and managed the team's project website
- Details: Oversaw the design and functionality improvements which contributed to the team's overall success.

FLL Open European Championships, Norway 2024
- Role: Team Lead & Website Developer
- Achievement: 7th Place out of 50
- Details: Led the team through rigorous training, balancing both technical and presentation tasks, and significantly improved the project website’s visual appeal and complexity.

I use Java for developing Discord bots. I've started learning and using this language since 2021.

I've started learning and using this language since 2023.

HTML & CSS

I've started learning and using this language since 2024. The FLL competitions were what made me get into this language.

Python

I've started learning this language since 2022, but I only started using it due to my computer classes in school, which required us to use python.

C++

I've started learning and using this language since 2023. I used it to make Unreal Engine games.
